She’s here! A true one of a kind!
Lately, I’ve been putting a tonne of effort into making my little gallery a little more ‘me’
The space is shared with my business @perthprolab so I do have to be mindful of one interest overtaking the other but wall space was available so here we are!

I absolutely adore everything about this piece. The image was from a very early morning at Jirdarup Bushland. Photographing into the rising sun, the sky clipped to white, a result of me correcting the exposure for this glorious bird, a female Forest red tailed black cockatoo (Kaarak) coming in to perch on a dry branch.
Her little yellow freckles like gorgeous golden glitter, her fiery red and orange tail feathers perfectly back lit, illuminated by the early light.

The frame I’ve selected for this image, a bespoke hand crafted creation by local timber artisan Steven Bentley @framesoftheforest
The grain and character of the stunning face cut reclaimed Marri just oozes. The timber sealed to last in Osmo oil which looks incredible, satin, smooth and long lasting.

I’ve finished this piece off with TruVue Clarity glass which minimises reflections from the glass whilst protecting this precious artwork from damaging UV light.
As I said, there is only one of this piece, I couldn’t replicate it if I tried. The image will be printed just nine more times, making up an edition of just ten.
